Michael Jordan's Son Cost His School UCF $3 Million

Marcus Jordan, son of Michael refuses to wear Adidas. Marcus Jordan plays basketball for the University of Central Florida and UCF has [or had] a contract with Adidas that requires their players and coaching staff to ONLY wear Adidas and ONLY use Adidas equipment, but Marcus will only play in Air Jordans. After the freshman guard showed up for an exhibition game wearing his Jordans and Adidas ankle straps, Adidas pulled the plug on the school's contract saying, "The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to Adidas. As a result we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward."

I see this story from both ends. I can understand Addidas pulling the plug from the University of Central Florida cause the contract was for EVERYONE on the team and staff to wear their gear not just whoever wanted to. Though i don't understand how they can expect the son of a legend ball player who makes his own shoes by Nikey to wear Addidas? If my parents or family made anything I would definitely be sporting it all the time. I'm proud of Marcus for not giving in.

I think this may be a good thing for UCF. So what they don't have an Adidas contract. MJ can give the school $3 million dollar contract and the team can wear Jordans. Great for MJ and his sneaker contract and who better to represent MJ than his own blood in Marcus.
