J Dilla, aka Jay Dee, aka James Dewitt Yancey would have been 37 years old today. The legendary Hip Hop producer left an impact in Hop Hop that has grown since his sudden death in 2006. J Dilla worked with different people in music like Talib Kweli, Dwele, De La Soul, Common, Madlib, and of course Slum Village, just to name a few. With his mother, his family, the city of Detroit, and Hip Hop, Jay Dee's music will always be around and his legacy shall live on. One of the best who producers ever.
