FELA was the best. FELA was AFRICA, not just Nigeria. FELA was a warrior. FELA was the man. I am in the NYC area and I have plans on attending this show this holiday season. I was in Englad when I first heard of FELA. I was immediately taken by his brillance and his creativity as an artist, that I became an immediate fan. Thanks for Blogging this.

FELA is a good music artist, today music artist are not just limited to a continent or a country most of the big names are well known house hold names. Take Kanye West or 50 Cents for instance they just rock.

FELA was playing the music for his people and Europe fell in love with his music, style, and position he stood for in WORLD polictics. FELA wasn't afraid to tell his true feelings no matter who he offended. I remember seeing an interview with FELA and the reporter was from a European country. Nonetheless, FELA was in his home with his wives (yes wives) breasts out, he was in a skimmpy trunks, and he was smoking weed. He told the reporter, "You come here to interview me in my home. I'm not going to adjust to your lickings. You adjust to mines if you want the story. If not you can leave". The reporter interviewed FELA and it went down as one of the best interviews ever of FELA, because he was in his comfort zone of being in his home. FELA was the TRUTH. His music not only funky and beat heavy, but his music speaks to the youth. FELA IS HIP HOP!!!
