Gil Scott-Heron's "I'm New Here"

For those who don’t know about Gil Scott-Heron, he is the voice from the legendary group The Last Poets. It was Gil's scratchy voice that said, "The revolution will not be televised". Well through all of Gil's ups and downs in life, he somehow punches out another album I’m New Here dropping lyrics, poems, and vocals over beats. Gil’s music is for the mind and this CD is like sitting at the Poet Cafe with your girl. Just that this trip you're in your car or at home in a chill zone while you listen. Great music and something that our younger generation needs to hear. Check out the jump link to get a preview listen.
