Chun is a mother and a professor at Yale Law School, but this mother is raising her child the Chinese way instead of the Western way. For example, Chua says she tells her daughter that 'an A- is a bad grade' and insist that 'the only activities your children should be permitted to do are those in which they can eventually win a medal; and that medal must be gold'.
