Stray Bullet Victim Treated as the Criminal as She is Held in NYPD's Custody for Five Days - No Charges Ever Filed

Takesha Griffin and her gay male friend went out to a gay bar. Upon being droped off at her home in Brooklyn, Griffin was hit by a stray bullet. Her friend drove her to the hospital, where she was treated and NYPD were informed. However after being shot, she was treated as if she was the 'criminal' for 5 days, because police at NYC's Brownsville precinct didn't believe her story. She is suing the NYPD for $5 million. Read more about this case (here).
